Mr George Bailey-Haigh & Dr David Lee established Dog For Life because of their love for animals, in particular, dogs.

George, an avid dog lover, has previously owned two weimaranas, both of which were rescued and showed what a truly loved dog can be at George's hands. Currently George's life revolves around his twelve year old weimarana Banshee and now the new puppy his third 'Wraith' occasionally interrupted by the annoyance of work.

Because of the poor state of health of his first rescued dogs, George was prompted to develop a kinder range of Skin and coat products including shampoos and conditioners. He found that he just couldn't obtain the desired products on the present market. He realised, through experience, that finding a good quality shampoo containing only natural ingredients was impossible.

Posed by this dilemma he developed the Dog For life range. The knowledge and experience he has gained from being a cosmetic and bio-scientist has enabled him to develop exactly what he was looking for. Originally designed for use on his own dogs, the products have become more and more established as word of mouth spread that theirs was indeed a kinder all naturally hand-made range of products designed by a dog lover for dog lovers. George, and Banshee, have never looked back and now there is an entire, extremely varied, product range for all dog breeds and coat types. With all the products being handmade Dog for Life is also in the position of being able to design products for specific requirements for demanding breeds.

Having succeeded so well the company has now expanded and Caroline Seve is now the head of marketing and distribution. Caroline, also a dog fanatic, jumped at the chance to work with people who cared for their dogs as much as she does hers.

Caroline immediately saw the potential to supply not just to end users but also to dog groomers and resellers so that all dogs may benefit from the advantages of the DFL range.
The range itself has now expanded to cater for groomers, breeders & pet shops. Now offering a varied range of products from shampoos & conditioners through to nutritional supplements. The key to the success of Dog For Life has been the philosophy that it was founded under that has now become the company moto - Dog products by dog lovers for dog lovers to use on their dogs! Note the moto begins and ends with dogs, which is how all dog care and grooming products should be defined. After all they are for use on dogs!!
Since the company was first established we have grown to supplying not only local outlets in the South of England but also because of their popularity for their excellence and ease of use we now supply the whole of the UK.
